Welcome to
the Home Page of Damon Dennin
I am proud to announce that I have completed my undergraduate study at
St. Joseph's University majoring in Performing Arts. Coursework completed at St. Joseph's University included Film, Modern
Theatre, Drama, American Theatre, International Film, Actor into Director, The Film Director, Senior Project, Women in Theatre,
Understanding Music, Art History, Music History, Studio Art, Baroque & Rococo Art, Principles of Marketing, The Craft
of Language, Spanish, Economics, Western Civilization, Math for Business Majors, Management, The Environment, Theology, Philosophy,
Sociology, and Psychology. In January 2003, I proudly received a BA in Fine Arts.
During four years at SJU, I played
varsity tennis for the Atlantic 10 Hawks, was a member of University Singers and Chamber Choral Ensemble, and am a member
of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. I performed in musicals and one act plays (Snowboy "West Side Story", Rusty Charlie
"Guys & Dolls", Scarecrow "The Wizard of Oz", The Devil "Death Knocks", and King Henry "Henry
IV"). In addition, I performed as lead vocalist and percussionist in the band, "Stir Crazy" which performed
on the SJU campus and around the Philadelphia area. October 2004, I performed acoustic guitar at Chuck U. Farley's Bar and
Grille and also performed at The Summit Club At Summit Park in Roxborough, PA.
In 2004, I performed in the Storybook
Musical Theatre production of "The Wizard of Oz" as the Tinman. I also performed as a principal player with the
Murder Mystery Players. I was cast as a featured actor and stand-in in Lee Daniels film "Shawdowboxer", and was
cast as an extra in the 20th Century Fox Flm "In Her Shoes." At the Walnut Street Theatre I performed as understudy
in "Annie Warbucks" and received Apprentice scholarship September 2004 through February 2005. I sincerely appreciate
all audition opportunities which allow for personal growth and experience as a performer.
In 2003, I appeared in
a principal role as Bianco in Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" at McShain Theatre. Also in 2003, I was cast as
a member of the Philadelphia Phillies Phanstormers entertaining at Veteran's Stadium. I have enjoyed opportunities working
on the set of CBS Primetime series "Hack" and have appeared in various scenes as a featured actor, stand-in and
extra. I've appeared in independent short films in/around the Philadelphia area and was cast as an extra on the WB "Jamie
Kennedy Experiment" as well as Touchstone Pictures "National Treasure." I've continued my interest in Theatre
by working as an Understudy and performing in "Hello Dolly", "Annie", and "La Vie en Bleu" at
the Walnut Street Theatre, the oldest theatre in America.
Additional theatre and acting credits over the years
have included playing the lead character, Danny Zuko, in "Grease", Rocky in "Damn Yankees", and Lewis
in "Pippin" at the Indianapolis Civic Theatre. During these performance runs, I appeared on FOX Channel 59 promoting
the Indianapolis Civic Theatre. I also performed in the dance ensemble of "Damn Yankees" at The Hedback Theatre/Footlite
Musicals Production, and have performed in pre-game ceremonies at the Indianapolis Indian's Victory Field. In high school,
I performed the role of Mr. Applegate in "Damn Yankees", and was a member of the Barber Shop Quartet in "The
Music Man."
While attending college, I appeared on several episodes of ABC Studio's "All My Children"
as a bar patron. I also appeared in "Behind Closed Doors "featuring Joan Lunden", an A&E Channel documentary,
and I appeared in a Philadelphia Infomercial on cable television's Travel Network. These early experiences strengthened my
ambition and desire to pursue my dream of becoming a successful actor. My goal since graduating from college is to broaden
my knowledge of theatre, film, radio and television through experience and continued education of the arts.
Besides,
singing, dancing, guitar & tennis, my interests also include songwriting, golf, basketball, modeling, traveling, physical
fitness, bicycling, reading, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway/Indy 500. I enjoyed my involvement with Radio Station WBEB 101.1FM
(B101) working as a part-time promotion assistant and weekend board operator. I am currently working with
WIBC-AM (1070) and WLHK-FM (97.1/HANK FM) as Producer and On Air/DJ and look forward to more opportunities at Emmis Communications.
(Rev 1/07).
